Personality;;
*Most people would be able to guess that Matt is VAIN and for the most part, they are right. His appearance means a lot to him, and if he is having a bad day in front of the mirror, it reflects in his personality. That being said, Mateo is also CARING about others. His friends and family mean the most to him but he isn't afraid to step up and help anyone who is in a bad situation. He loves making new friends that he can go out with and have a good time. Whenever he is on a sports team, the team becomes part of his family very quickly and often turns to them more than anyone else. If he finds a girl nice enough, or attractive enough, his personality changes in special ways. He becomes much more PROPER and obviously CHARMING. The only thing that bothers him is when girls become drama queens or fickle, then he turns his back.
Appearance;;
Mateo has eyes that match the blue grey sky of his homeland in London. He has thick, dark brown hair that he inherited from his mother. Normally, his hair is cut short on the sides and long on the top so that he can slick it back for formal occasions or let it go messy if he can. His body is very big from trying to stay in shape for baseball and for when he pole vaulted. Every inch of his body is coated in a nice layer of muscle. There is a small scar on his right shoulder from getting a torn rotator cuff and needing surgery to repair it.
For nothing other than it's the way his mother shopped for him, most of the time Matt is wearing skinny jeans and a tight fitting tee shirt. Summer or winter he is usually in chinos unless he knows it is going to be unbearably hot then he wears shorts with his tee shirts. Though he'd never tell anyone, whenever the occasion calls for suits, he is gun ho. Matt certainly loves pulling off his formal look.
Past;;
Mateo Dillard was born in a luxurious family in London. His parents were filthy rich benefactors and his grandparents shared their wealth with their kids. Matt was the middle child of three and was generally the one his parents favoured the most.
He always had friends that he spent more time with in primary school than he did his own family. His parents gave him what he wanted, when he wanted it. Matt credits to the fact that his parents felt bad for their son who was seen and payed attention to less than his brother and sister. His grandmother often treated him with more respect and kindness than the other two because he was spoiled yet didn't act it. That is, up until he hit secondary school.
Steadily, the things Matt wanted got more and more expensive, and his parents got more and more hesitant on buying him everything he asked for. He began to take on the roll that his siblings were starting to grow out of: spoiled brat. He would throw fits if his parents told him no and embarrass them into doing what he wanted. That was the only possible way he would have been able to play baseball so he dropped to the floor crying until his parents finally said yes to him.
That phase of him didn't last long at all. Matt found it easier, and less embarrassing, just to doing what he was asked to do, and his parents would treat him with what he wanted. They also planned out most of his future but Matt's attitude towards being forced into an occupation that he didn't want to do wasn't going to hold up. He did what he wanted anyway and used his charm to will his parents into supporting him in nearly everything he did, even if they didn't agree what-so-ever.
When he was in his ninth year, Matt was pitching a playoff game when he tore his rotator cuff. At first he didn't complain but as he continued his pitching got worse and the pain greatly increased. After some x-rays, a doctor concluded that he needed surgery and had to refrain from sports for at least a year. As a senior he began pitching again. Due to the injury he was as good as he could have been so most American colleges he was looking into wouldn't support his baseball career.
Instead of going straight into college, Mateo entered the workforce for two years. His jobs ranged from flipping burgers to organizing files at a local business. There was only one thing he hated more than the terrible pay he received for every job he had, and that was working in general. He finally quit working and went to school like he was supposed to. Matt attended a college in London for two years to get the basics down. The only thing he did in class was sleep and the only thing he did in his dorm was mess around. Luckily for him, his parents had quite enough money to pay the college to look the other way and make his grades look great.
