Personality;;
Layla is quiet and extremely socially - awkward around people she first met, but she is getting much better than she was before. She's very wary, as she does not trust people easily because of her father, who left her and her mother when they were young, with absolute no money. Layla had a tough life, going into a small school with not a decent education. It wasn't until high school she then went to a better school, however many teased her because she was 'poor'. As a result, Layla doesn't like to tell anyone about her past.
However, once she opens up around you, you will see that Layla is truthfully very friendly and easygoing. She likes to have fun and she actually has a lot to say. Though maybe you cannot tell from her appearance, she is quite impatient and dislikes waiting. This 18 year old girl is extremely loyal, and once you are friends with her, she will be sticking with you unless you stabbed her in the back. Layla is very straight-forward. Beware if you ask for her opinion, she may not tell you the answer you will want to hear.
Layla holds a good heart, and sweet. As a young girl, she had volunteered in many animal shelters, socializing with animals and providing many other things. However, she tends to be extremely stubborn. She rather not change her mind and stick to her own plan, it would take someone very close to her to convince her. (not too sure is straight forward a good or bad trait, but I just counted it as a bad trait as being straight-forward can anger a lot of people, I should know! )
Appearance;;
Layla stands at 5'8, but she wishes she is 5'5 instead - as a child, she was often teased as a 'giant' or a 'beast', even - her size 8 feet did not help. She wore size 8 ever since she was in 7th grade. Being born in the more cloudy part of Nevada, she has quite pale/white skin, but she hopes it can get tanned more after she came to California. She looks quite similar to her mother, but inherited her father's feet and lips. Her lips are thin, but a natural rosy pink color. She use to have an 'unibrow', however in 11th grade, she plucked the hair until she has the 'normal' eyebrows like the rest of the kids. She boasts a skinny figure, at the weight 118 pounds. It's not that she is on a diet or anything, she actually eats a lot, but for some reason, she remains quite skinny. As a child, she use to have a very flat nose bridge for some reason - both her parents had very high nose bridges. However, as she matured, her nose bridge slowly became higher. Inherting her mother's large brown eyes; her thick, long eyelashes finishes the look on her face, but she still likes using mascara to give it an even fuller look now and then. Layla has a little above waist length, very dark brown hair - it is her natural hair color. She is often tempted to dye a streak of her hair pink or dark blue, however, she did not. Layla is also dying to get either a rose tattoo or a rainbow tattoo with a sun peeking out on her ankle, but she is too scared of the pain. Layla is B cupped.
Past;;
Layla was born in a small town in Nevada, known for it's cloudy, rainy weather. As a young child, she dreams about living in sunny state for a long time. Her childhood wouldn't be what you describe as happy or depressing. Her first few year was delightful, spending time with her parents, going to the park, your typical life as an adolescent. However, when she went in first grade, her father left her just like that. No money, no letter, no anything. Her mother ended up working a lot, not spending much time with Layla in result. Layla didn't understand at first, but as she matured, she began to become very mad at her father. Because of him, her mother has to work a lot, they had a small home, etc. She began to help her mother by taking small jobs such as dog walking, baby sitting, but it didn't help by much. Soon, though, she also began to volunteer at an animal shelter to escape the depressing atmosphere at home, with her mother complaining all the time, though she also did do it because she loved animals.
She worked hard in school, though it isn't a very decent one. The summer after 8th grade, though, her mother managed to afford a more decent house - with a better school. She went to the school there. As good as it was, the students were rude and pretty much bullies. She was one of the tallest girls in the school; which caused her to often made fun of. She made a few friends from the volleyball team and dance club, but, that was it. She only managed to make friends with them because she is quiet decent in the two sports - she wanted to join badminton, however, there was no badminton team in her school.
In high school, she tried to act more like the 'cool kids' for a while. She skipped class a few times, and smoked once, however it lasted for like three days before she quitted. She rather act like herself; she rather not be liked than be someone who really wasn't her. Within a day, she was back to her old self. For three years, she struggled to maintain a relationship with her mother and her classmates. Her mother was full of complaints everytime she gets home. Soon, though, it was time to think about college, and her mother asked her to go to a college near her. Layla didn't want to, though. She wanted get out of the state which caused her so many bad memories. She reluctantly agreed, however, she sneakily also filled in a few applications that weren't near her mother. A few months later, she had replies and got in to two colleges.
One of them was in Nevada, and the other was at Seaview. However, at last, she chose Seaview, but only told her mom on the very last day. She got in a huge fight with her mother, but that was also the reason that let her know it was the right choice. She had her own life. She didn't want her life to be full of a mother who kept complaining, she didn't want her life to have a depressing atmosphere. She moved quickly, and took on a major in photography.
