Be Respectful & Polite
On this site, you are expected to be respectful and polite to everyone. No matter race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, etc. There are no exceptions to this rule. First offense you will get a warning. Second offense you are banned for a week. Third offense and you are banned from the site. That's it. Three strikes, you're out. Don't even try to make a new account, either. I have your IP address. You can't fool me. This is serious stuff, guys.
Also, I hope this goes without saying, but we are a PG-13 site. Young kids are able to join, and we don't want to be scarring them for life, now do we. If a thread is getting hot and heavy, please move it to direct messaging or somewhere private.
Proper Grammar
Okay. Honestly, this is one of my biggest pet peeves. Please use proper grammar on all of the boards and in all of your posts. It just makes it easier for everyone If you are a continuous offender of this and are using horrible chat speak in your posts, the three strike rule will apply.
Graphics
You are allowed to have signatures, in fact I highly encourage it. However, in order to keep the boards looking neat, please no graphics larger than 500 pixels wide and 350 in height. The password is dragon berry. Also, for your convenience the profile pictures are 200 pixels in width by 300 pixels in height.
Role Playing
Once you create an account, it is expected that you submit your character application in a timely fashion. I think one week (7 days) is enough time to complete it. However, if you are having a busy week, let me know and I will make adjustments. I also would appreciate it if you log in at least a couple of times a week just to let me know that you are still an active member.
No god-modding. This means you cannot control another person's character (including kill) without the other user's permission.
When you have a thread going, make sure it is labeled appropriately. Proper format is Title of your thread [other player(s)]. You can change the upper or lowercase of the font, and the brackets, honestly I do not care. However, just please make sure it is label as open, closed, or with the characters that are involved in the thread.
Please try to keep your posts above 300 words. If they are less, it can be difficult to build off of, and we don't want that. It is okay if there are a few that fall shy of 300 words, but just try your best to comply with this rule.
Just for clarification, you are able to have more than one thread going at a time. Just try to stay on top of them so you don't keep your fellow role players waiting forever.
C-Box
This is for out of character chat. Feel free to discuss whatever you please, just keep it appropriate. Eventually, I will probably make an in character cbox, but we will see what happens.
Activity
Every so often, we will have activity checks, to see who are our regular members on the site. There will be a thread you will have to post in to keep being an active member of this site. If you fail to post, your character(s) will be moved into the character archives. This thread will be open for two weeks, and I think this is ample time for you to post your active characters and threads as a reply. The password is actually Oreo. Sneaky, eh? I wanted to see if you continued reading after you found the first password. For this of you who are curious, Oreo is my cat. However, if you are going to be unable to do so but want to continue being an active member of the site, let me know and you will be okay.
You must log in at least twice a week. I appreciate knowing who is active, and if you are going to be off longer than a week, send me a message or reply in the absences thread in the lounge board.
Username Format
After registering and completing a character application, please change your display name to your character's FIRST MIDDLE LAST name (in all caps).
Have Fun!
This site is purely for entertainment, and remember that! I look forward to reading the character applications, and getting to know you. Welcome to Seaview University!
